fashion lab
In April, Pinkponilo is collaborating with Adaptér for a thematic month exploring the topic of (sustainable) shopping and clothing. From learning about materials and mastering digital design techniques to upcycling sewing methods and rediscovering our wardrobe, we are opening the door to sustainable fashion from multiple perspectives. The essence of FashionLab is not guilt-tripping but self-discovery – and we can do it together. Location and detailed program is available here in Hungarian.

Fashion Lab - one month program about sustainable fashion and consumption habits
In April, the FashionLab (Divatlabor in Hungarian) kicks off, a month-long thematic program series organized in collaboration between Adaptor and Pinkponilo. The series explores the questions of (sustainable) fashion and consumption.
The goal of the FashionLab is not to induce guilt – but rather to create a shared space for thinking and creating together. We will approach the topic of sustainable fashion from various perspectives, covering everything from material knowledge to digital design and upcycling techniques.
Discover the diverse programs in the event description and meet homegrown brands, experts, and creators. We have attached the concept description and creatives for your reference.

The Waste Data exhibition
The Waste Data exhibition is closely linked to the Fashion Lab program series. While FashionLab explores the textile and fashion industry through various programs—raising issues, presenting solutions, and building a community—the Waste Data exhibition brings different stages of a fashion product’s life cycle closer to visitors through visual and sensory experiences. This exhibition lays a foundational knowledge base for participants, which later programs can build upon.
The curators and designers of the exhibition act primarily as moderators and educators rather than activists. The goal is not to provoke extreme emotions but to connect information and create a space where visitors can experience and understand the processes involved. Visitors are not merely spectators but active participants—they can touch and interact with the exhibited elements, fostering a more personal connection to the topic.
The exhibition is divided into four main stations, each representing a key phase of the textile and fashion industry: Raw Material Base – Showcasing the origins of fabrics, their sources, and the innovations shaping today’s materials. Textile Industry – Focusing on the production process: the labor behind manufacturing and the conditions. Changing Room – Exploring purchasing decisions and consumer psychology: what influences our choices?
Waste Value – Demonstrating what happens to our clothes at the end of their lifecycle.
